Since the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell begins on November 29, 2021, some questions about the sex scandal surrounding the late Jeffery Epstein could finally be answered. Arrested on July 2, 2020, Maxwell is one of the investigators’ few remaining links with Epstein after he died suspiciously in prison. The process will likely finally tell us how far and wide Epstein’s sex trading ring goes. Hopefully it will bring justice to the victims too.

Ghislaine Maxwell, a British celebrity and Epstein’s ex-girlfriend, is accused of being involved in a sex trafficking conducted by convicted pedophile Jeffery Epstein. She was arrested in July 2020 while hiding in New Hampshire. Maxwell, who was dating Epstein in the 1990s, is accused of helping the billionaire sexually exploit girls.

In March 2021, two new federal charges were brought against Maxwell – part of a sex trafficking and underage sex trafficking conspiracy. Before these two charges were included in the indictment, Maxwell faced six more – a conspiracy to seduce minors and an enticement for a minor to travel to engage in illegal sexual activity; Conspiracy to transport a minor and transport a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and two of perjury. So far, she has denied all of these allegations.

Prosecutors claim Maxwell helped Epstein care for and recruit girls as young as 14. The indictment also states that Maxwell “supported, facilitated and contributed” to Epstein’s abuse of underage girls. It is said that she helped him recruit, care for and abuse the victims “Maxwell knew” who were under the age of 18.

Since Epstein’s arrest in 2006, the scandal has only gotten bigger and wider, and it continues to do so months after his death by suicide in August 2019. Those tied to his sex ring include Prince Andrew, who was killed by one of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Giuffre. is sued. Also named are Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Woody Allen and Trump’s impeachment attorney Alan Dershowitz. Many wild theories have been spread about Epstein over the years, including allegations that he laundered money.

The Maxwell Trial won’t cover any of these, however, it focuses solely on his sex ring and their role. “The question in the trial will be whether the defendant took steps to give Jeffrey Epstein access to girls under the age of 18, knowing that Epstein intended to have sexual contact with these girls,” the prosecutors wrote. In 2019, Epstein died in an apparent suicide while he was in federal custody.
