Video: Dak Prescott Makes ‘Filthy’ Throw At Practice

Thursday brought a very welcome sight for Dallas fans: Dak Prescott back and better than ever.

During the Cowboys’ first training camp practice earlier today, the 27-year-old quarterback picked things up right where he left off — dropping dimes to his teammates in a Dallas uniform.

Scrambling out to his left at the Cowboys training camp facility in Oxnard, California, Prescott flicked a beautiful cross-body throw down the field and right into his receiver’s arms.

Here’s a clip of the throw:

Before his devastating ankle injury in Week 5 of the 2020 season, Prescott was leading the NFL with a staggering 1,690 yards and nine touchdowns (including a massive 502-yard, four-touchdown game in Week 4). And by looking at this clip, it seems the sixth-year QB is well on his way to returning to that superstar form.

NFL insider Charles Robinson echoed that sentiment with reports earlier today.

On #Cowboys Prescott, not going to assess his passing as he gets back into a groove. But movement on that ankle looks good,” Robinson reported via Twitter. “They’re rolling him out quite a bit. Looks like he never had an injury. That would be the first box I’d want to check. Does he look healthy from jump? Yes.”

Despite missing most of the year in 2020, the two-time Pro Bowler finally received the contract extension he deserved, signing a 4-year, $160 million deal with the Cowboys that locks him in through 2026.

Hopefully with a fully-recovered Prescott, the Cowboys will take on the defending Super Bowl champions in Tampa Bay on Sep. 9.
