One of the greatest athletes of all time has revealed his stance on the latest Aaron Rodgers drama. During an interview with Sports Illustrated, eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt admit that he wants Rodgers to stay in Green Bay.
Bolt is a huge fan of Rodgers and the Packers. While he’ll most likely support the team even if Rodgers gets traded, he obviously wants to see No. 12 lining up under center for the reigning NFC North champions this fall.
“I would beg Aaron Rodgers to stay,” Bolt said. “Last year, we were very close, we were so close. This year, after the draft, we got a lot of good players and a lot of guys that stayed, you know what I mean? Davante Adams and everybody.”
Bolt finished off his recruiting pitch to Rodgers by saying, “I need Aaron Rodgers to stay. Please stay! We need you!”

This plea from Bolt might not persuade Rodgers to stay with the Packers, but it’s worth a shot at the very least.
Rodgers will eventually have to make a decision as to whether he wants to report for training camp. Earlier this week, ESPN insider Adam Schefter released some shocking information on the Packers’ contract talks with Rodgers.
Schefter said that Green Bay offered Rodgers a new contract extension that would have “tied him to Green Bay for five more seasons and made him the highest-paid QB and player in football.”
It’ll be fascinating to see how this standoff between Rodgers and the Packers plays out.
