The Rams’ Twitter feed adds to the excitement for the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2022.

At 2:06 p.m.,

Following the announcement of the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show, the Los Angeles Rams Twitter account posted these five words:

“Nuthin’ But an LA Thang,” accompanied by the microphone emoji — indicating that the sounds of L.A. Hip-Hop and multi-platinum artists will be front and center at SoFi Stadium on February 13.

L.A. musical legends Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Kendrick Lamar will perform alongside Grammy winners Eminem and Mary J. Blige at the Super Bowl halftime show, according to sponsors Pepsi, Roc Nation, and the NFL, who all announced the news on Tuesday. “The Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show marks the first time these five multi-award-winning artists will perform on stage together, thrilling music fans around the world and holding special significance for the greater Los Angeles community, as they host the Super Bowl for the first time in nearly 30 years. “These artists have a total of 43 Grammy nominations and 22 No. 1 Billboard albums,” according to the press release. Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, said he’s looking forward to performing in front of his hometown with the artists with whom he’s collaborated.

“Performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in my own backyard will be one of the most thrilling experiences of my career,” Dr. Dre said. “I’m grateful to JAY-Z, Roc Nation, the NFL, and Pepsi, as well as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, for joining me in what will be a once-in-a-lifetime cultural event. ” Did Dr. Dre Give it Away During the Rams/Bucs Game?

Dr. Dre was among the many celebrity guests who watched the Rams defeat the defending Super Bowl champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 34-24 on Sunday, September 26th, before Tuesday’s halftime announcement.

The hitmaker, who has produced albums for three of the artists and wrote Mary J. Blige’s 2001 hit “Family Affair,” was photographed wearing a customized Rams jersey covered in autographs. But now one has to wonder: Was there a secret, closed-door meeting between Dr. Dre, SoFi Stadium, and the Rams before or during the game that helped solidify this announcement? Fans took to social media to express their excitement for the halftime announcement and to try to get to Inglewood for the February event.

Reactions Flood for Halftime Announcement

In this tweet, one fan wishes for this to happen.

One cardiac device nurse expressed her delight on Twitter.

This Rams fan is looking forward to visiting the “City of Champions.” ”

In the meantime, Eric Skylar of KFI AM 640 gave the release a Snoop Dogg dancing Gif.

There were also these tweets from ESPN personality Bomani Jones, which included a response to a prediction made in 2019 about L.A. hosting the Super Bowl:

The game will be televised on NBC, so

NFL on Fox will not have coverage of the game (it will be televised on NBC), but they expressed their admiration on Twitter. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network will most likely be on-site for the game when it begins.

But he had a burning question:

What was the goal for this halftime show? Adam Harter, PepsiCo’s Senior Vice President of Media, Sports, and Entertainment, explained what the goal is.

“This year, we’re blowing the concept of collaboration out of the water,” Harter said. “We continue to push the boundaries of what fans can expect during the most exciting 12 minutes in music, in collaboration with the NFL and Roc Nation; this year’s superstar line-up is sure to deliver a mind-blowing performance.” Clean Bowled News
