The Dallas Cowboys Are Signing A New Wide Receiver

The Dallas Cowboys are well-stocked at wide receiver, but with Michael Gallup set to miss some time, they’re adding a veteran with 30 games of experience to the practice squad.

Dallas is adding former Buffalo Bills and Washington Football Team wideout Robert Foster. The 27-year-old is in his fourth professional season.

Foster’s agents, SportsTrust Advisors, shared the news on Twitter this afternoon.

Foster was undrafted out of Alabama in 2018 but caught on in Buffalo. In two seasons with the Bills, he played in 26 games and started five, catching 30 passes for 605 yards and three touchdowns.

In 2020, Foster appeared in four games for WFT, catching a pair of passes for 37 yards.

The Cowboys have Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb as a potent 1-2 punch at receiver, but Gallup’s injury should open up some more opportunities for Cedrick Wilson, Noah Brown and fifth-round rookie Simi Fehoko.

If they need another body at the position, Foster could get the call up.
