Tom Brady has an honest prediction for the upcoming NFL season: he believes it will be more challenging to complete than the 2020 season.
We’ve made great strides during the pandemic thanks to the vaccine, even though not everyone is on board. However, with new variants and full stadiums, there could be some new challenges during the 2021 season.
“I think it’s going to be challenging this year. I actually think it’s going to play more of a factor this year than last year, just because of the way what we’re doing now and what the stadium is going to look like and what the travel is going to look like and the people in the building and the fans,” Brady told the Tampa Bay Times.
“It’s not like last year, although we’re getting tested like last year. It’s going to be, I definitely think guys are going to be out at different points and we’ve just got to deal with it.”
Brady also admitted that both he and his parents battled COVID-19.
Tom Brady told the Tampa Bay Times that not only did both his parents test positive last year for COVID-19 — he himself was diagnosed with it in February. Brady revealed that he tested positive for the virus just after the Bucs’ Super Bowl boat parade.https://t.co/CdzqlZA9xu

There will surely be some challenges this season. Hopefully the vaccination rates will continue to go up and the spread will be significantly slowed down.

Fans are somewhat split on Brady’s prediction.
“For two months now it’s felt like the NFL and media have an agreement to act as if the season will proceed as if back to normal. I think LOTS of players and staff will be filling up the COVID lists starting this week,” one fan tweeted.
Others, meanwhile, believe the season will go on as planned with little to no difficulty.
We’ll find out soon.
