The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly making a big commitment to their offensive line.

According to multiple reports on Saturday afternoon, the NFC East franchise has made a big commitment to starting left tackle Jordan Mailata.

The Eagles have reportedly agreed to a four-year, $64 million extension that could be worth up to $80 million.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter confirmed the news.

“Eagles’ OT Jordan Mailata is signing a four-year, $64 million extension that could be worth up to $80 million and includes $40.85 million guaranteed, per source. His agents, Jeff Nalley and Graylan Crain, just confirmed the deal to ESPN,” he reports.

As NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport notes, this is a big commitment to the left tackle position for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mailata has only been playing football for a couple of years. However, he’s clearly made some massive strides at the position. Schefter notes that he has “freakish” ability.

The Eagles have since made the move official.

Philadelphia has locked up its starting left tackle through the 2025 season, according to the NFC East franchise.

The Eagles will open the 2021 season on Sunday, Sept. 12 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. E.T.
