Le’Veon Bell might be on the verge of joining an NFL roster for the 2021 season.
According to the NFL’s workout list, the Baltimore Ravens had the veteran free agent running back in for a try-out on Monday.
Bell was one of two running backs who worked out for the Ravens on Monday, per NFL.com:
To address this need, Baltimore is bringing in two veteran backs, Le’Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman, for workouts, according to the league’s Monday transaction wire.
Bell and Freeman were brought in due to yet another running back injury for the Ravens. Justice Hill reportedly suffered a torn Achilles injury. J.K. Dobbins has already been lost due to an injury.

Bell was one of the best running backs in the league during his time in Pittsburgh. However, it’s been downhill for the running back ever since. He lasted a little more than a season with the New York Jets before landing in Kansas City in 2020. Bell rushed for 254 yards and two touchdowns during his time with the Chiefs.
Fans are skeptical that he has much left.
“After the Steelers it’s been all down hill for Bell. Hopefully he will find a spot that works for him,” one fan tweeted.
“Le’Veon Bell fell off like crazy,” another fan added.
Of course, it would be fun to see Bell playing against the Steelers…
“Would be some real good theater for them to sign Bell and give him the ball 35 times against the Steelers,” another fan suggested.
Regardless of what happens with Bell, it’s still going to be the Gus Edwards show in Baltimore. The Ravens running back is ready to be the lead man.
