NFL World Reacts To Jalen Hurts’ Performance Today

Jalen Hurts is making it easy for Philadelphia Eagles fans to forget about Carson Wentz on Sunday afternoon (and, maybe, the Deshaun Watson trade speculation, too).

The Eagles are taking on the lowly-Falcons on Sunday afternoon. Philadelphia has looked good, leading Atlanta, 15-6, at halftime on Sunday afternoon.

Hurts has looked really good.

The former Alabama and Oklahoma quarterback has thrown for 169 yards and two touchdowns on 18 of 24 passing. Hurts has added four rushes for 37 yards.

Hurts’ first touchdown of the day came on an Alabama connection. He hit first-round pick Devonta Smith on a deep pass for the first score of the game.

Alabama certainly enjoyed that one.

Hurts had a very big first half, as noted by Pro Football Focus. It’s just one half, but it’s certainly a very encouraging start for the second-year quarterback.

NFL fans are impressed, too.

The Eagles lead the Falcons by nine points at halftime.

Sunday’s contest between Philadelphia and Atlanta is airing on FOX.
