Believe it or not, Nick Saban actually cracked a smile following Alabama’s statement win over Miami on Saturday afternoon.
The Crimson Tide had no problem replacing the immense talent they lost from last year’s championship team. Quarterback Bryce Young threw for 344 yards and four touchdowns. Brian Robinson Jr. had 60 yards on the ground. Trey Sanders chipped in 41 rushing yards and a score. Oh, and Ohio State transfer Jameson Williams looked the part with four catches for 126 yards and one touchdown.
Alabama demolished the Miami Hurricanes 44-13 to open the season Saturday evening. It was yet another impressive season-opening performance by a Saban-led team. Even the head coach himself was happy with the final score.
Saban had a big smile after taking down the Hurricanes on Saturday. He didn’t even get upset when one of his players put the leather helmet on his head.

You almost never see Nick Saban get this happy this early in the season. But he had to like what he saw from his players on Saturday.
The Crimson Tide continue to defy all odds. Any other team in college football would struggle mightily to replace players like Mac Jones, DeVonta Smith and Najee Harris. Not Alabama.
As long as Saban’s around, Alabama is going to be king. It doesn’t matter who the Crimson Tide lose, either. They just reload and continue to dominate.
