Look: Giannis Has 1-Word Message After NBA Finals

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has been celebrating his NBA title win seemingly non-stop since beating the Suns to win the Larry O’Brien Trophy last night.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, “The Greek Freak” had one more message for everyone. He shared a photo of himself holding the Larry O’Brien and Bill Russell trophies, with the one-word caption, “Checkmate.”

It was Giannis’ first post on Instagram in over two months and his 10 million followers quickly gave it all kinds of love. In just one hour the post has nearly 1 million likes and countless shares.

As for the comments section, it’s a who’s-who of big names offering congratulations. Even Tom Brady snuck his way into the comments.

“Congrats amazing champ,” Brady wrote.

Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx hopped in and wrote, “Congratulations brother outstanding performance.”

But one other word is popping up in the comments more than almost any other: “Goat.”

The Milwaukee Bucks, EuroBasket, FIBA and countless other fans are ready to call him one of the greatest of all time now.

There’s no denying that Giannis Antetokounmpo has joined a special class of NBA superstars now. He’s only 26 years old but already has a ring, an NBA Finals MVP award and two NBA MVP awards.

At such a young age, there’s plenty of time for Giannis to win another title. And by the looks of things, that next title will most likely come with the Milwaukee Bucks.
