Alabama football hasn’t missed a single beat today. In their first game since the national championship win over Ohio State, the Crimson Tide are putting a beat down on Miami in Atlanta.
Early in the third quarter, the nation’s No. 1 team leads 34-3. In his first start for the team, Bryce Young is 20-for-29 for 295 yards and four touchdowns, proving why he was such a vaunted recruit back in the 2020 class.
Down 27-0, Miami looked as if it may have finally scored a big play. A recovered fumble for the ‘Canes defense was overturned, forcing safety Kamren Kitchens to take off the Turnover Chain that he’d already been award.
That pretty much summed up the day that it has been for UM. Former Alabama superstar Mark Ingram has really enjoyed the proceedings today, and cracked a joke on Twitter at the Canes’ expense.

Every year, Alabama puts a number of stars into the NFL, and has to find replacement. So far, Nick Saban hasn’t missed.
Young looks like the fourth straight superstar to play quarterback for the team. His predecessors Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, and Mac Jones are all set to start Week 1 for their respect teams next week.
Six Crimson Tide players were taken in the first round, with three going top 10. There were 10 total players drafted, and that doesn’t even include defensive star Dylan Moses, who went undrafted.
Even with all of those absences, the Death Star that Nick Saban has built continues to cruise along unabated.
