Look: Browns Player Smacks Chiefs Coach On Sideline

0

The Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns are opening the 2021 NFL regular season in a rematch of last year’s Divisional Round playoff game.

Unsurprisingly, tensions are already high in Kansas City.

A Browns player has been ejected from the game for smacking a Chiefs assistant coach on the sideline. Cleveland safety Ronnie Harrison Jr. was tossed from the game after taking a swing at a Kansas City coach during an incident on the sideline.

Harrison might’ve been provoked by the Chiefs sideline, but you can’t go after another team’s coach. That’s almost always going to result in an ejection.

Yikes.

Here’s another angle:

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer had some more details on what happened.

“It appeared New York buzzed down to the officials, after they flagged the Chiefs sideline; then came the flag on Cleveland and ejection of Ronnie Harrison. Tempers flaring early!!!” he reports.

The Browns are leading the Chiefs, 8-0, early in the first half of Sunday’s major AFC showdown.

This afternoon’s contest is airing on CBS.
