Le’Veon Bell Has Reportedly Signed With New NFL Team

Three-time Pro Bowl running back Le’Veon Bell has a new NFL home just days before the 2021 season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Bell is signing with the Baltimore Ravens practice squad and will likely be promoted to the active roster soon, according to Schefter. This comes one day after the Ravens worked out the 29-year-old.

Baltimore also reportedly kicked the tires on Devonta Freeman, but ultimately opted to sign Bell. Bell finished last season with the Kansas City Chiefs after being released in the first month of the season by the New York Jets.

The Ravens have a need for running back depth following the losses of J.K. Dobbins and Justice Hill to season-ending injuries. Gus Edwards and Ty’Son Williams are the only two backs currently on the roster.

Between 2013 and 2017, Bell made two All-Pro first teams and two All-Pro second teams. Then, he sat out the 2018 season due to a contract dispute.

He hasn’t been the same since then, washing out with the Jets and being rendered a non-factor in Kansas City. We’ll see if the onetime star has anything left in the tank if called upon by Baltimore.
