Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers picked up where they left off last season in the first quarter of tonight’s season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
After going three-and-out on their first possession, Brady and the Bucs’ offense took over at their own 6-yard line for their second series. Nine plays later, they were in the end zone for the first TD of the 2021 NFL season.
Brady hit on 6-of-7 passes for 86 yards on the march, with the final throw going to Chris Godwin for a five-yard touchdown. It was vintage Brady, and it left viewers impressed, including LeBron James.
“That drive! Brady sharp sharp!” James tweeted in reaction to the performance.

The good news for Tampa Bay is that Brady looks like his usual self. The bad news is the Bucs’ defense was victimized for a touchdown on Dallas’ ensuing possession.
Bucs-Cowboys is tied at 7 late in the first quarter. You can watch the action on NBC.
