Joe Burrow Shares Honest Admission On His Rehab Process

When Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow takes the field on Sunday, he’ll have completed a long and stressful journey.

Burrow took the NFL world by storm early on during his rookie year in 2020, and it didn’t have everything to do with his numbers. He actually made the Bengals look like a legitimate team, which is saying something. Oh, and he also threw for 2,688 yards and 13 touchdowns with just five interceptions in just 10 games.

Disaster struck in Week 10 when the former LSU superstar went down with a year-ending injury. He’s been on a road to recovery ever since. That road will come full circle on Sunday when Burrow retakes the field.

Burrow revealed in an interview this week that his recovery process was a “lonely” one.

“The rehab process is a lonely one and a lot of people reached out to me,” Burrow said, via the Bengals’ YouTube channel. “And I appreciated all of them, but this is really something I had to go through alone.”

Take a look.

This is the same sentiment other professional athletes have shared over the years. It’s safe to say Joe Burrow is going to appreciate returning to the gridiron on Sunday.

As long as Burrow stays healthy, the Bengals should be on the rise. The big question is what will they get out of first-round draft pick Ja’Marr Chase? It may be a while before he gets up to speed in the NFL.

Burrow and the Bengals take on the Minnesota Vikings at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
