AFC Wimbledon has loaned goalkeeper Sam Walker from Reading until the end of the season.
The experienced goalkeeper has made more than 250 appearances in the Football League and, at 6-foot-6, is exactly the size the Sky Bet League One club was looking for.
The Dons have not won in the league since December 2 and are one place and one point above the bottom four.
“My size has always been the big factor, which is why I ended up in goal in the first place when I was younger,” Walker told the club’s official website.
“I haven’t been relegated yet. I know what it takes when the pressure is down there. It’s about staying organized, fighting in every game and getting the results to get yourself out of danger.”
Boss Glyn Hodges added: “This time last year we brought in Joe Day, who brought his experience and got things sorted. He was great for us and hopefully Sam can have the same effect and maybe improve us.”
