Dolphins Tight End Reportedly Out For At Least 10 Days

The Miami Dolphins will reportedly be without one of their tight ends for at least the first game of the 2021 regular season – and potentially more.

According to multiple reports, Dolphins tight end Adam Shaheen has landed on the reserve list after testing positive for COVID-19.

NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reports that the Dolphins tight end is unvaccinated. So, he will miss at least 10 days.

Adam Shaheen landed on the COVID list as the result of a positive test, per source. No major symptoms, but because he’s unvaccinated, under NFL-NFLPA protocols he’s out at least 10 days and will miss Sunday’s opener against the Patriots,” he reports.

The NFL still has strict policies in place.

“Even if you’re anti-mask, anti-vaxx, and/or convinced the pandemic ended months ago, the NFL believes it hasn’t — and the NFL’s current protocols definitely will impact the 2021 season. You may not want your bubble to be invaded by the news relevant to that fact, but it will be,” Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio tweeted.

The Dolphins open the 2021 season on Sunday against the Patriots.
