College Football World Reacts To Mo Ibrahim Injury News

The Minnesota football program has confirmed the injury to star running back Mo Ibrahim on Monday morning.

Unfortunately, the Gophers’ running back will miss the rest of the season with a lower-leg injury suffered in Thursday’s loss to Ohio State.

Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck confirmed the news on Monday morning.

Ibrahim suffered the injury in Thursday night’s loss to Ohio State. He went down with a lower-leg injury late in the third quarter and did not return.

Ohio State beat Minnesota, 45-31.

The college football world is crushed by the season-ending injury news.

Ibrahim, a 5-foot-1, 200-pound running back from Baltimore, Maryland, was one of the top backs in the country in 2020. He totaled 1,076 yards and 15 touchdowns on 201 carries for the Gophers last season.

The Minnesota running back was off to a great start this season, too. He had 163 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries against the Buckeyes.

Minnesota now has to move forward without the star running back. The Gophers will take on Miami-Ohio on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. E.T.
