Colin Cowherd Says 1 NFL Team’s Window Is ‘Closed’

Before the 2020 NFL season kicked off, Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd predicted a dreadful year for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cowherd predicted the Steelers would end the season with a 7-9 record. That would have given head coach Mike Tomlin his first losing season during his time in charge of the organization.

Well, that didn’t quite work out, as the Steelers finished the year with a 12-4. While the end of the season didn’t go too well, Cowherd’s prediction was still well off. Heading into the 2021 season, he’s re-upping his prediction.

Cowherd doesn’t think there is a chance Pittsburgh wins the AFC North this year.

“All those years, just wasted by Pittsburgh. Forget it now… The years of Pittsburgh winning that division and championships are over.”

This is nothing new for Cowherd. He’s been predicting the decline of the Steelers for years, but hasn’t hit the mark just yet.

However, if he just keeps saying the same thing, eventually he’ll be right. Then again, with Mike Tomlin’s track record, maybe he won’t.

Pittsburgh opens the season on Sunday afternoon against the Buffalo Bills. It’s the second straight season the Steelers will play in Buffalo after traveling to play the Bills in Week 14 last season.

The Steelers lost that game 26-15 and it felt like more of a blowout than that.

This Sunday’s game kicks off at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS.
