The Washington Football Team was expected to have one of the best defensive units in the NFL heading into the 2021 season. However, they haven’t exactly lived up to those expectations through the first two games of the season. In a 20-16 loss to Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1, Washington allowed 424 yards, 27 first downs, and 14 third-down conversions (tying a franchise record). They gave up 391 yards to the New York Giants in a high-scoring game that ended with the Football Team winning on a game-winning field goal (30-29). While the Washington defense has yet to live up to expectations, Chase Young, the NFL’s reigning defensive rookie of the year, isn’t concerned about his team.
“It’s just the minor details that need to be addressed.” “That’s what we’re working on,” Young told NBC Sports Washington on Wednesday. “I love that people hold us to a high standard because we hold ourselves to a high standard,” he added.
“I love that people hold us to a high standard because we hold ourselves to a high standard,” he added. “However, we’re obviously not paying attention to the noise..” All we have to do now is keep working. They’ll love us again once we start playing better defense. That is why we are unconcerned about the outside noise. ”
While the Washington defense as a whole hasn’t been very good, the team’s pass rush has been very good, with six sacks tied for fifth in the league.
$ Young has yet to record his first sack in 2021, despite having a 5-sack season in 2020. “It’s only game two..”
The figures are on their way. Young stated, “I’m not really trippin’ over that.” “Right now, my main focus, and our main focus as a defense, is for everyone to do their job. It should all come together at the end of the day. ”
On Sunday afternoon, Young and the Washington D will take on the Buffalo Bills. 003
