Aaron Rodgers has made it clear that he isn’t thrilled with how his situation with the Green Bay Packers was handled by the sports media.
However, the Green Bay Packers quarterback appears to be a fan of at least one prominent sports broadcaster.
Late Tuesday night, Rodgers – who has shown up for Packers training camp after months away from Green Bay – singled out one major sports announcer.
Rodgers is a big fan of NBC Sports announcer Mike Tirico. The veteran sports broadcaster is currently working the Summer Olympics. He’s expected by many to eventually take over for Al Michaels on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
The MVP quarterback was a big fan of Tirico’s interview with Simone Biles.
“Mike Tirico once again proving why he’s the best in the business, listening and letting Simone speak her truth. Very inspiring stuff,” Rodgers tweeted.
Great interview @Simone_Biles 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 you are the 🐐!!!!

Biles opened up about her mental health struggles and bout with the “twisties” during her interview with Tirico.
“Definitely bringing a light to the conversation of mental health, it’s something that people go through a lot that is kind of pushed under the rug,” Biles told Tirico. “I feel like we’re not just entertainment, we’re humans, as well, and we have feelings.”
Rodgers is an example of that, as well. He’s made it clear that he is prioritizing his own mental health and what’s best for him personally moving forward.
Still, he’s happy to be back in Green Bay.
“It’s the best feeling,” Rodgers said. “It was a little strange, I think, Day 1 just because I was gone for the entire offseason and contemplated my own future and the possibility of playing somewhere else as well. But when I’m back here, I’m 100 percent all in.
“You know me, you know what I’m all about. I love my teammates. I love competing. I do love practice. I love to go out and give it to the young corner when I can, get after these guys, talk a little smack, especially with a new D-coordinator in here, we’ve got to let him know how it goes around here. It’s good to be back.”
