Aaron Rodgers Has Telling Admission On Front Office Relationship

After a nasty offseason standoff with the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers rejoined the team for training camp. Over the last few weeks, as they’ve prepared for this weekend’s season opener, we’ve heard of much less drama between the two sides.

The future of Rodgers and the Packers remains unclear. He reworked his deal, making it easier for the two sides to break up, whether it is ahead of the 2022 or 2023 season. Most figure that the franchise will turn things over to former first-round pick Jordan Love.

There are no guarantees, though. If Rodgers wins his second-straight MVP award, or the team picks up its second Super Bowl championship with him at the helm, they may decide to move forward together.

For the Packers fans that want to see Rodgers end his career with Green Bay, his interview with The Pat McAfee Show is encouraging. Since returning to the team, he admits that communication with the front office has been “better” than in previous years.

“For me it was just wanting to have a bigger impact in decisions that directly affect my job that I feel like I’m competent enough to communicate,” Rodgers said. “Nobody knows the locker room, nobody has been around this place in a position of influence longer than I have… Nobody knows the product like I do, on the field.

“That gives me a perspective that adds to a conversation when you talk about players or decisions that directly impact the product on the field. That was my thing the entire time. I believe for the majority of the offseason there was an unwillingness to budge or have those conversations. But you never know. I believe in the possibility for people to change or grow.”

Aaron Rodgers still has his issues, based on the sound of things, but he and the Packers do appear to be in a better place than they were just a few years ago.
