Reporter goes viral after showing off skateboarding skills while delivering a live report.
Being on TV is nerve-wracking enough, but one network took things to the next level when it reported live from a skate park in the US.
Local 4 news reporter Victor Williams went viral on Twitter after his slick coverage of free skateboarding lessons at a new Detroit skate park. Obviously, Williams didn’t need free skateboarding lessons himself, so Williams raced through the skate park on a skateboard while he delivered his report.
His colleagues in the studio were amazed and when they asked how long he had been skating, he said since he was just eight years old.
Commenting on Williams’ report, the co-host said, “I knew he was cool, but it’s a whole new level.”
Since the video was uploaded to Twitter last night, it has received over 430,000 views and 22,000 likes.
People loved his unique report, and writer Eddie Robson said Williams raised the bar for news reporters.
Williams isn’t the only reporter who got creative at work in the past few weeks.
Two weeks ago, Michigan’s WOOD TV8’s Donovan Long was doing pushups while doing a live report:
Not all reporters are quite as slick as Williams or Long, either Newsreaders who previously shared their funniest on-air slip-ups on Twitter.
