How to get tickets for the Coldplay 2022 World Tour and the full schedule of dates.

Coldplay have announced a six-month world tour for next year that will be as “sustainable as possible”.

The stadium shows of the band “Music Of The Spheres” are powered by rechargeable batteries from renewable sources.

Their ambition is to make their concerts more environmentally friendly and to have one of the greenest tours in history.

Coldplay’s tour runs from March to September with stadium shows in Europe and North and South America.

There are four dates in the UK in August, with three performances at Wembley Stadium (Friday 12th, Saturday 13th and Tuesday 16th) before a night out at Hampden Park Stadium in Glasgow on Tuesday 23rd .

HER will be providing support for three days, with London Grammar appearing on the last London show – the two acts appearing on most of the shows throughout the tour.

The band wrote on Twitter: “Playing live and connecting with people is ultimately why we exist as a band.

“We have been planning this tour for years and are really looking forward to playing songs from all of our time together. At the same time, we are very aware that the planet is facing a climate crisis.

“That is why we have consulted with environmental experts over the past two years to make this tour as sustainable as possible and, above all, to use the tour’s potential to move things forward.

“We’re not going to do everything right, but we’re determined to do everything we can and share what we have learned.”

Frontman Chris Martin said in 2019 that they would not go on a world tour for their previous album Everyday Life due to environmental concerns.

This time their world tour is supported by a “show battery” from BMW, which is charged with solar power and generators with hydrogenated vegetable oil.

In addition, fans can generate electricity for the concert via a kinetic stadium floor and power bikes.

Martin said, “We are proud to be working with BMW to create the world’s first touring, rechargeable show battery – which will allow us to run our concerts almost entirely on clean, renewable energy.”

These alternatives will replace the usual diesel and gasoline generators, which will reduce the concerts’ carbon footprint.
