A racist white man was caught in Seattle by model Aunjoli Jean-Pierre greeting the Nazis. The now viral video shows the man making the gesture, moving away from a person Pierre identified as her brother. Pierre’s brother quickly recorded the encounter and sent it to her. She then uploaded it to Twitter and within hours the man was identified. Other users also went for the funny side and made fun of the racist Subaru.

Despite a year-long movement to raise awareness of racism, in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, the US has seen a massive surge in racist incidents, particularly targeting Asian Americans. On October 7, New Hampshire AG filed an enforcement action against Kristina Graper after calling a 9-year-old the N-word and threatening to kneel on his neck. At the end of September, we reported on the harassment of a black couple in Virginia by their neighbors and the fact that the police refused to take action. Thanks to platforms such as TikTok, Twitter and Instagram, racist attacks are not only frequently registered, but also frequent triggers for outrage. Jean-Pierre managed to channel this outrage and find the racist who molested her brother, thanks to some investigation by the Twitter community. It’s unclear whether the man was arrested, but we do know he was banned from Twitter.

On October 12th, Jean-Pierre’s brother, identified only as Twitter user @KDCutz, was taking care of “his Blacka business” when a white man yelled “white power”. When he starts to walk, he is welcomed by Jean-Pierre’s brother, who keeps asking: “Where do you live?” At some point the man simply says “come n —– r” and makes the Nazi salute. “You want to be white, don’t you?” asks the man, still walking away. He is caught walking to his car, a silver Subaru, and drives away after saying, “Go back to Africa”. Jean-Pierre uploaded the entire incident to Twitter which you can check out below-

The video was originally uploaded to Instagram by Cutz, where he said, “My only goal was to get that fool’s face and license plate.” Before the video, he added a disclaimer and said, “I can’t believe this man thought he could walk around like this without encountering resistance.” Speaking to The Daily Dot, he said he recorded the video so that the person could be identified and the community “could be safe and stay away from him”.

It didn’t take long for the community to take action. A handful of users followed the man to a Twitter account on behalf of Michael A. Slawson, whose biography reads “Anti-N — o politicians and proponents of the involuntary deportation of African Americans to Africa. Anti-synagogue of Satan. Not of that” World. “We couldn’t find out more about the man because Twitter has apparently now banned his account. We couldn’t find any other social profiles linked to him, so we can’t confirm whether the man in the video is actually Slawson. TikToker @tizzyent also identified the man as Slawson, noting that he was once wrongly accused of making threatening phone calls to mosques in southern California.

When the video went viral, the internet quickly slammed the man, while others found his choice of mode of transport odd. “What I learned today – Nazis also drive Subarus,” commented a user Jean-Pierre’s video. Another replied: “You shouldn’t be allowed to do that. Subies are for lovers.”

One user tweeted, “I definitely get domestic terrorist vibes from you. I hope the authorities and law enforcement are keeping an eye on you. How does a supposed “Christian” get so hateful? ”Another scoffed:“ Bro, is you talking about deportation, where are they going to send you? ”

Other users also shared screenshots of some of Slawson’s tweets suggesting that he has had racist content in the past. According to @tizzyent’s video, Slawson appears to be a former law enforcement officer and may have served in Los Angeles. Before his account was banned, users noticed he was following the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
