Full clinics Health ministers want to postpone operations that can be planned.
The health ministers of the federal states agree. Due to the corona situation, you are in favor of postponing scheduled operations in the clinics. The situation is “very, very serious”.
In view of the worsening corona situation in large parts of Germany, planned operations are to be postponed nationwide according to the will of the federal and state health ministers.
This is already the case in many federal states. The chairman of the health ministers’ conference, Bavaria’s head of department Klaus Holetschek (CSU), reported after a switching conference that the states had agreed on this. It also needs flat rates for the clinics if they keep intensive care beds and clinic staff free for Covid 19 patients.
“It is very clear to all of us that it is very, very serious,” said Holetschek after the consultations with the German Press Agency in Munich. There is great solidarity between all federal states, emphasized the CSU politician. Holetschek thanked the countries that are now accepting patients from other parts of the country as part of the so-called clover leaf concept. Specifically, relocations from Bavaria, Saxony and Thuringia are planned.
However, Holetschek warned that the dramatic corona development could spread through all of Germany in the coming weeks. “The growth of the fourth wave can be felt nationwide.” Measures must therefore be taken quickly to reduce the corona numbers.
The acting Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) also made it clear, according to participants in the switch, that the decisive factor now is that the wave must be broken.
