Incident on A14 man stops transporter with unconscious driver.
The courageous intervention of a driver was able to prevent a bad crash on the A14. The 57-year-old noticed an unconscious driver – and unceremoniously braked his car.
A courageous motorist stopped a driverless van on Autobahn 14 near Schwerin and, according to the police, prevented worse things from happening. As a spokesman said on Thursday, the incident occurred on Wednesday near Leezen (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania).
The 57-year-old noticed that the van driver was unconscious. The pickup truck had already hit the guardrail, drove through a recess and then rolled on on the A14. The car driver sat in front of it with his car and braked the driverless van to a standstill. Both vehicles were damaged in the process.
The 48-year-old van driver was rescued, came to his senses shortly afterwards and was taken to a clinic. It was said that he had an epileptic seizure while driving.
