He said that due to quarantine requirements, he had to stay in a hotel for two weeks before filming the new season, and that someone would actually come knock on his door to make sure he was following all of the protocols. “I am a permanent resident, so I obviously want to follow the rules, and I had to make sure I did everything correctly,” he said. I was working on another series at the same time, so it was similar to having two children: you had to love them equally. He also credited Candice Elzinga, the casting director, for the characters’ chemistry. “She assisted us in choosing the brothers and sisters, and that really put the show together,” he said. “Treat and Diane are accomplished actors who have been nominated for and won numerous awards, but these young people really helped to bring this family together… This year, there were some changes that made it a little different, for starters, a new showrunner, who has done a fantastic job… Our showrunner is Phoef Sutton, an Emmy award-winning showrunner who previously worked on ‘Cheers’ for a number of years, as evidenced by the quality of his writing. ”
