“Some people may wonder if they’re ready. I’m here to say they’re ready,” Crockett said at a press conference in Dallas on Wednesday.

Crockett said voting and abortion rights would be one of her top priorities if elected.

“The fact that I’m back 50 years ago in terms of voting and reproductive rights is a problem in itself,” she said, the Dallas Morning News reported. “We need to get back on track.”
