Daunte Wright called her mother and said she was stopped because of a fragrance hanging from her rear-view mirror, a minor crime in Minnesota.
Wright, now with his two-year-old son, had an aggressive warrant that he had escaped from the police and did not appear in court for having a gun without permission.
His father Aubrey told Good Morning America:’I lost my son. He will never come back.

Wright’s April 22 funeral at Shiloh Temple International Ministries in Minneapolis was attended by Rev. Al-Sharpton, Congressman Ilhan Omar, Senator Amy Klobuchar, and Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz.
The families of Philland Castile, Eric Garner and Oscar Grant (another black man killed by police officers) were also present.
