San Antonio – – Update (Thursday 8:20 am): The Bexar County Medical Inspector’s Office has identified a woman who was killed in a shooting on the North Side Wednesday night.
According to officials, Sarah Silva, 31, was sentenced to death shortly before midnight. Police in San Antonio believe she was fatally shot by her boyfriend at a 1200-block house in El Monte Boulevard near the roads of Blanco and Basse.
The man ran away from the scene.
Original (Thursday 4:44 am): One was killed and the other injured after being shot on the north side of the city late Wednesday night, according to San Antonio police.
After being informed of the shooting, police officers were called to a house at 1200 blocks in El Monte Boulevard, not far from Blanco Road and Basse Road, at around 11:30 pm.
According to police, a 31-year-old woman was shot dead by her boyfriend, who also injured a 50-year-old woman.
Police said he knew the suspect’s name and was currently looking for him, although he did not know exactly what led to the shooting. The man ran away from the scene.
A 50-year-old woman was taken to a university hospital with a gunshot wound on her arm. She is expected to recover.
The San Antonio Police Station, San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS all answered the phone.
The investigation is underway, police said.
