San Antonio – San Antonio firefighters needed to rescue a woman who was stranded after driving into high waters early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred around 2 am near the Dreamland Drive railroad tracks, not far from Vance Jackson Road and Lockhill Selma Road on the northwest side of the city.
Due to bad weather, police said the woman drove into high waters in dark and hard-to-see places. According to police, the vehicle got stuck and there was no way out.
The firefighter was able to successfully remove the woman from her car. She wasn’t injured.
Officials say no barricades were in place at the time.
